RTX4060 + DeepSeek Harness + Spark-X2.5-4B = Local Coding
Using a RTX406 with 8GB of VRAM limits your options and capabilities. I found some success with other models, mostly in the 9B range, but they max out my memory. Spark 4B runs with 60k context with room to spare. I connected it to DeepSeek Harness RC2 and could use it for coding some Python. No, I don't feel comfortable giving it a long prompt and trying to one-shot a project, but walking it along the project it did most of the work. Setting up database with tables, connect to a front end, and diagnosing errors. Until I can get a bigger VRAM GPU, this might be my go to coding LLM.
Forgot to mention it ran at 50-60 tok/s
