Bad Answers with Ollama

Hello again
I'm having trouble testing it with Ollama; it doesn't respond the same way Version 1 did—it gives nonsense answers.

You are a decision function. Read the state, then answer the question by choosing exactly one option.

Thanks

Hi @gshaxor , thanks for the screenshots, they made this easy to track down. The weights are fine; your prompt never reached the model.

When Ollama pulls a GGUF from the Hub, Hugging Face converts the GGUF's chat template into an Ollama template. For v2 that conversion came out broken: {{ if .Prompt }}{{ end }}}}. There is no {{ .Prompt }} in it, so the model only saw a stray }} and continued it as LaTeX. That's where the \frac{1}{2} output came from. v1 got a correct pass-through template, which is why it worked.

I've added a template file to the repo to override the conversion. Please pull again so Ollama picks it up:

ollama pull hf.co/chaoliangUNSW/Jev-Style-Qwen3.5-2B-Decision-v2-GGUF:Q4_K_M

With your prompt it now answers B (and A for a negative review).

You can also set the template yourself with a Modelfile:

FROM hf.co/chaoliangUNSW/Jev-Style-Qwen3.5-2B-Decision-v2-GGUF:Q4_K_M
TEMPLATE """{{ .Prompt }}"""
PARAMETER temperature 0

then run ollama create jev-v2 -f Modelfile and select jev-v2.

Thanks, it's working now.
