Commercial redistribution permission for the TFLite model
Hello,
I am developing a paid manga creation support application called “KOMA LAB.”
I would like to include and redistribute the following file inside the application:
- manga_panel_detector_int8.tflite
The model will be used locally in the user’s browser/device to detect manga panels. I will not offer the model itself as a separate download or claim it as my own.
I understand that:
- The model is released under the Apache License 2.0.
- It was trained using Manga109-s.
- Commercial use requires clear attribution to the model, its author, and Manga109-s.
- The required license notices and citations must be included with the application.
Could you please confirm whether commercial distribution of the application in this form is permitted?
I plan to include:
- The Apache License 2.0 text
- Copyright and attribution for this model
- A link to this model page
- The required Manga109-s attribution and academic citations
- A notice that the model has not been created or endorsed by the KOMA LAB developer
Please let me know if any additional permission, wording, or condition is required.
Thank you.
Heeey! hello!
Glad to see this model is helping people :D
I believe what you said is correct, but I'm not affiliated with manga 109, so be sure to double-check their conditions.
For my part, yes, you are free to use it in your project, you just have to reference this model and the author(Leandro Narosky) somewhere visible in your application and website. Any "credits" section will work.
Btw, I made this model for an open source manga reader project, called yomihon, might be worth a look if you are interested.
Good luck with your project! ^^
Thank you so much for your quick and kind response!
Your model has been very helpful for my project, and I really appreciate you making it available.
I’ll make sure to clearly credit the model and you, Leandro Narosky, in both the application and the website.
Thanks again for your support and for creating such a useful model! ^^
