Request: Single-file GGUF for Ollama support
Hi! Thanks a lot for the excellent quantizations of Qwen3.8-Flash-Next. Would it be possible to upload a single-file version of the Q4_K_M or UD-Q4_K_XL quant? Currently Ollama cannot pull sharded GGUF files (Error: This repository only contains sharded GGUF files), so many users are stuck. A single-file version would make it much easier for the community to run the model with a simple:
I second this, although you can still do it via hf cli that option is nowhere practical and exclude many people from using the models.
Does Ollama already support this model that you are concerned?
Unfortunately, Ollama needs support models split across multiple shards, since this is how Hugging Face naturally functions and it's designed to enable more efficient, faster and pauseable downloads. Given that Ollama uses the llama.cpp backend, implementing support for this should be feasible.
Also uploading separate singular files just for Ollama will confuse users and cause more harm than good especially for non Ollama users.
We welcome community members to upload singular files however! :)
Thanks, any tutorial and/or guide on how i can merge it into a single file?
